Robby the Robot, Forbidden Planet review

Robby the Robot

Funko have released their Robby the Robot figure. Robby first appeared in the 1956 science fiction movie Forbidden Planet.
He went on to appear in many other movies, series and even did some commercial advertising. He is in the Robot Hall of Fame.
A poster from the Forbidden Planet movie, from which Robby is most well known.

Robby is number 89 in the Funko vinyl pop movies line of figures.

Robby has his big feet and tire like legs.

Robby looks like hims self, is well painted and is quick a sturdy heavy figure.

He has nicely painted and accurate dials on his chest unit.

His head is also nicely sculpted.

Here he is with the Lost in space Robot, Robby also appeared in Lost in Space.

Robby is a classic and much loved robot.

ReAction Ash, Alien figure

Ash

Ash is the science officer on board the Nostromo in the 1979 movie Alien. If you haven't seen that movie, go watch it now.

This retro figure by Funko and Super 7 comes in a cool blister card.

Ash is an adult collectable not a toy! It even says so on the package.

 Ash examines his patient.

I am too scared to see if anyone has shipped these two.

Ash points out the alien architecture of the derelict.

Strangely the actors face is not on the packaging, there close enough so you know who it represents though.

 Who is the monster?

Ash and Ripley reenact a scene from the movie.

Ash comes with one accessory, the motion tracker, though i would have liked him to come with a rolled up porn magazine.

This retro line is looking kind of incredible.

Ash and the other crew members are all  3 ¾” scale.

Squidward Review, SpongeBob SquarePants

Squidward

Squidward is from the cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants he  is a
Cecaelia a part human part octopus creature despite the fact he has only six tentacles and has Squid in his name.

Squidward is number 27 in the Television line of Funko vinyl pops figures.

Squidward has one point of articulation, his head spins around.

With his sad face and distinctive body shape he is obviously squidward.

I like the spots on his head, actually the whole figure is painted very well.

He has only six tentacles but stands very well on four of them.

Two of his tentacles function as his arms.

I wonder if this ship would sink?

 Some aquatic Pop figures.

Reaction: Dallas figure

Dallas

Dallas is the cool Captain of the  Nostromo

He is the 3rd figure in the Funko and Super 7's 3.75" collectable retro figure line.

The figure has 5 points of articulation, legs, arms at the shoulder and head.

He comes with a flamethrower accessory, the same weapon as Ripley.

The jacket back printing is very cool.

The shoes are insanely detailed.

The jacket is nicely detailed and is different from Ripley s.

The likeness isn't the best but is passable.

The line looks good so far.

Ripley and Dallas take a romantic stroll down to the hanger.

Captain Dallas all around cool dude.

Stay out of the vents Dallas.

They had the strange feeling they were not along, poor Alien felt like a third wheel.

Dallas didnt quite seem like his usual self.

Bruce Finding Nemo shark figure.

Bruce

Bruce is from the Disney Pixar movie Finding Nemo.

Bruce is the 76th Pop! figure it is the Disney Pixar line

The other figures in the line are also pretty incredible.

 Captain Jack rides Bruce.

Finding Nemo is an animated movie released in 2003, the film begins in the (now threatened in the real world) Great Barrier Reef and is a decent movie.

In the real world endangered sharks are being needlessly slaughtered in Australian waters,  but this shark is safe and quite a nice figure.

The shark prop for the Jaws movie was named Bruce, and apparently the sharks name isn't Jaws? I always thought it was.

Save the Great Barrier Reef:

If you would like to try to help save the Great Barrier Reef there is a petition here and another here
If you would like to help stop the slaughter of our sharks please look here.

On behalf on the Reef animals and the Australian tourist industry i thank you for taking the time to sign these petitions.

 My animal shaped figures.

The tail of the beast.

Some more odd body Pop!s

I really like this figure, its a nice representation of Bruce and its good to have a shark figure.
