35 Glenn, The Walking Dead

Glenn

Glenn Rhee was an original character from The Walking Dead and appears in the television series. The Walking Dead follows a group of insane zombie apocolipse survivors as they struggle with inter-personal relationships. Glenn is among the more sane characters.

Glenn is number 35 in the Walking Dead Television line of Funko vinyl pop figures. He is part of Edition two.

I think its pretty obvious who this character is, it becomes even more so if he is displayed with zombies and other Walking Dead characters.

He comes with a non-removable cap, and he looks adorable in it.

He also comes with a weapon, it looks almost pump action but also looks like a rifle. I am no gun expert, so if you know what this is lease comment and let us all know.

Who is the cutest Walking Dead male character? Rick, Glenn, or Daryl?

The others can keep the sensible cars, Glenn's got the Batmobile!

Glenn is admired by many of my pop collection, but he is already taken.

42 Robin, Heroes, Classic Batman

Robin

Robin if from Batman which is a live action television series that aired in the 1960s.

Robin is number 42 in the Batman classic series Heroes line of Funko pop vinyl figures.

The figure is easily recognisable as Robin.

He has a black mask, a cute Funko nose and no mouth.

His costume looks accurate to me.

He has the bright colours of the original television series.

Due to the program being so campy and the characters so flamboyant many believe that Batman and Robin were not just partners in crime-fighting.

Batman and Robin, partners?

Batman and Robin ready for a driving lesson.

Oh no! There is only one seat in the Batmobile, Robin is going to have to sit on Batman's lap, or find another ride.

I believe Robin had a motorbike, but he looks at home in the Batmobile.

My couple Funko pops to date. From left to right, Jaime Lannister and Cersei Lannister,  Rides Batman and Robin, Khal Drogo and Daenerys Targaryen.

69 Jack Skellington, Disney

Jack Skellington

Day of the Dead

Is from the stop motion movie The Nightmare Before christmas. The story is about Jack and his plans to celebrate Yule in Halloween town. This version is decorated like a candy skull.

Jack Skellington is the 69th figure in the Funko vinyl pop Disney line. This figure is titled Day of the Dead Jack Skellington on the back of the box.

This figure is obviously Jack Skellington and the candy skull designs are easily noticed.

Beautiful candy skull designs adorn Jacks head. His mouth and nose holes are molded in but his eyes are painted on.

He wears his striped suit.

It has the same nice tail design.

He is in the same pose and has the same body sculpt as Jack Skellington 15.

Candy mobile anyone?

Jack Skellington, Santa Jack Skellington and Day of the Dead Jack Skellington.

The Day of the Dead:

The day of the dead is a holiday celebrated throughout Mexico and around the world in other cultures. The holiday focuses on gatherings to pray for and remember friends and family members who have died. The celebration takes place on October 31, November 1 and November 2 in Mexico. The holiday is very similar to the pagan Halloween or Samhain celebrated on 31 October – 1 November in the Northern Hemisphere and 30 April – 1 May in the Southern Hemisphere.
Many southern hemisphere pagans usually incorporate it into their Samhain celebrations in April-May.

Though it is becoming popular as the shops and media try to enforce celebrating Halloween at the wrong time of year in Australia, for Pagans to celebrate The Day of the Dead in October-November. As pagans are known for their acceptance of others ignorance, most people celebrating Halloween at the wrong time are not even aware it is a seasonal holy day and how offense they are being celebrating it on Beltane.

72 Santa Jack Skellington, Disney

Santa Jack Skellington

Is from the stop motion movie The Nightmare Before christmas. The story is about Jack and his plans to celebrate Yule in Halloween town. This version is dressed in a Santa costume.

Santa Jack Skellington is the 72nd figure in the Funko vinyl pop Disney line.

Despite his costume it is easy to see that this is really Jack Skellington.

Jack has indented eyes mouth and nose. A different head sculpt to the first Jack Skellington.

He wears a Santa costume and carries a wrapped present. He is in the same pose as the first figure but it is mirrored, meaning his left arm is now doing what his right was in the first sculpt.

This is not just a recolour but a new sculpt.

How cool would a pop reindeer and sleigh be?

He makes a nice Xmas or Yule ornament and is a fine addition to any Funko pop collection.

15 Jack Skellington, Disney

Jack Skellington

Is from the stop motion movie The Nightmare Before christmas. The story is about Jack and his plans to celebrate Yule in Halloween town.

Jack Skellington is the 15th figure in the Funko vinyl pop Disney line.

Its  easy to recognise who this figure represents.

He has a nice molded smile, though its different to the one on the box. His eyes are indented and he has holes for a nose.

He looks quite dapper in his striped suit.

The "frayed" tail looks cool.

The collar is a nice touch.

Do we want a Halloween mobile for him to drive, yes i think we do.

The perfect gift for an undead fan.

 About the holidays:

christmas is a christian holiday believed to have been incorporated into the christian calender to help convert the pagans, it is heavily based on Yule, the pagan holy celebration of the winter solstice. Yule is celebrated 21 or 22 December in the northern hemisphere and 21 June in the southern hemisphere.

Halloween or Samhain is a seasonal religious holy day celebrated on the 30th of April–1st of May in the Southern Hemisphere, and as it is a seasonal festival it is celebrated on the 31st of October –1st of November in the northern hemisphere.
At Samhain the veil between this world and the spiritual world is very thin, as such it is a time to communicate, honor and pay respect to those who have died.
