Off topic: Zero Hour

Turn based survival horror using dice, cards and the creatures of the night. A competitive game for 2-6 players.

This game looks amazing, check it out on Kickstarter

The basic game comes with everything shown above as well as i believe a , you can opt for the deluxe game which features an additional "pale one" encounter deck.
The project will release more encounter decks and special dice when certain funding levels are reached. So the more people who pledge the more awesome this game will become.

They are making  plush toys of the creature from Zero Hour, "The Pale One" (Slender man?) is 32" and weighs a little less than a pound this doll is limited to 300 signed and numbered pieces.

My advice would be to go check out this project, before venturing into any mysterious wooded area. Remember Kickstarter is risky and there are no real safeguards.

The project is already fully funded and is reaching stretch goals, which means bonus material for backers.

All art belongs to the project creators, and limited art prints are also available.

UPDATE
I backed Zero Hour and have yet to see anything for my money (its now July 2016), it appears  American backers pledges were fulfilled (mostly) but not international. The creator has ceased all communication with his backers and has created new kickstarters that seem to be having similar problems. I truly apologize if i encouraged anyone to back this project.

Acid splatter Alien

Awesome Alien

This alien is from the awesome Alien franchise with 3 cool movies and a butt-load of comics. This particular figure is a SDCC exclusive.

The figure has a nice acid blood splatter window box and is a SDCC exclusive limited to 1008 pieces.

Look for the Funko exclusive sticker.

We see Acid splatter Alien with his normal Alien counterpart in the pictures above. The exclusive figure is on the left.

Here we have a close up of the acidic blood splatter.

He also has some on his face.

And a little bit more on the back of his shoulder.

Here we see Daryl playing with the Aliens.

Ned Stark SDCC 2013 exclusive figure

Poor Ned

This Ned Stark is a SDCC exclusive limited to only 1008 figures. Fair warning if you haven't seen Game of Thrones, this figure is a spoiler.

The box should have blood splatter on the window area and blood on the neck of the figure.

Also you should see the exclusive sticker on the window box.

The figures body looks the same as the original.

Though the colours on mine do look more vibrant and distinct.

Aside from a few colour differences and the half closed eyes you could mistake this figure for the normal one.

Here he is with non-exclusive Ned Stark.

As i mentioned above the eyes of this Ned are half closed, being in a dungeon can be exhausting.

A look under his head shows where the bloody blow struck.

The head just pulls off but can be held nicely in place by a clever magnetic system.

For anyone wondering, yes his body can be used as a fridge magnet. Though the magnet is not very strong.

CHOP!

As you can see this figure will make for some excellent displays.

Ned took the saying "two heads are better than one" a little too literally.

No Jaime you are not.

So what do you think of this version of Ned? I personally, while not a fan of duplicate character figures, do really like it.

09 Winged Monkey

Winged Flying Monkey

Winged monkeys also known as flying monkeys are characters from the popular iconic gay franchise The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Originally a collection of books, the story was made into a movie in 1939.

Winged Monkey is the 9th figure in the Funko vinyl pop Movies line. He is from wave one, to see more click here.

In the real world Winged Monkeys are called Hsigo and come from Chinese legend and mythology where they act like a familiar to those skilled in magic.

Winged Monkey has two slits for a nose, no mouth and the usual pop black eyes.

A little hat adorns his head which also has a mo-hawk and curls.

Winged Monkey has cool monkey feet and a little monkey servant costume, reminiscent of those old street organ grinder monkeys.

The Winged Monkey has a cool monkey tail and nice feathered wings.

Here Winged Monkey stands with his primate friends, Chi Chai Monchan the monkey and Bumble the Yeti.

Here Winged Monkey plays the part of Monkey from Monkey magic, which was based on the adventures of Sun Wukong, also known as the Monkey King, from the ancient Chinese, journey to the west.

06 Gremlins

 The Nameless Gremlin

Gremlins is a 1984  horror comedy movie. If you haven't seen it go do so now, there is also a sequel. Gremlins is my favorite Yule (21st / 22nd June in Australia) movie.

Gremlins is the 6th figure in the Funko pop Movies line of collectables.

Strangely this figure is named Gremlins despite the fact it is clearly a representation of Stripe, as the other Gremlins did not have his mo hawk.

Gremlins has a nose and mouth, his mouth has an adorable grin that shows of his sharp teeth.

The molding on the figure is amazing, here we can see the detail around his eyes.

Here is Gremlins Mohawk, and note the painted detail on his ears.

His back has some nice colouring and also some bumps along the spine.

A closer look at Gremlins tail.

Gremlin hands end in three claws.

His feet also continue the three claws.

Here he is with Gizmo. I have to mention that Gremlins is one of the most well done Funko pop toys i have seen.

Gremlins fits in well with the other Movies releases, from left to right we have; Alien, Freddy, Gizmo, Jason, Michael, and Leonidas.

Gremlins may be vicious but above all else they just want to have fun.

A video review.

In the real world Gremlins are mischevious little creatures or spirits that sabotage machinery, specifically during wartime.
