ReAction Preview: Horror series

Horror Series

Funko and Super 7 are releasing a Horror series for the ReAction line. The ReAction line creates 3 ¾” figures in a retro "Kenner" 5POA style.

The crow figure looks cool, i only barely remember this i am afraid.

Freddy looks nightmarish and therefore cool.

Now you can see who would win between Jason and Freddy.

Michael Myers looks very cool as well.

I only vaguely remember these movies, as disturbing.

This movie is cool fun and Sam is cute.

Opinion:
I like this line and think they are awesome. I have no real criticisms at all.

Lost in Space Robot B9

B9

The Lost in Space Robot

The B9 robot from the Lost in space series.

The box for the Robot is cool, he is number 92 in the Funko vinyl Pop's Television line.

The Robot looks awesome and very show accurate.

He even has the chest details.

His clear head looks good and the bauble on top spins, but that's the only thing that moves, i have to call it no articulation.

Overall the figure is nicely sculpted and painted.

The legs are one piece there is no entry flap.

Here he is with another from my collection.

The biggest flaw and a huge issue i have with this figure is that it is not really a Funko pop figure.
Well it is officially, but it is not made of the same material or in the same way, it feels like a cheap knock off.
It feels like a hollow squeaky dog chew toy but is lacking the squeak!
Perhaps i am wrong and someone substituted a cheap knock off for my Pop collectable figure?

Who would win in a fight: Well it has to be Robby because he is built to the standards of a Funko Pop figure and B9 robot is not.

Funko are releasing some Dragon Ball Z figures for their Animation line of vinyl Pops. I know very little about this show so here are the pictures;

Preview: Kratos

Kratos
God of War

God of War is a Ps3 game, or series of games that are loosely based on Greek religion and mythology.
Kratos is number 25 in the Funko vinyl Pop Games line.

Kratos looks adorable in Pop form. Now this makes me want the other representations of the Olympian Gods from the games.

ReAction News: Goonies

The Goonies

Funko and Super 7 are releasing figures for the ReAction line based on the movie The Goonies.
The ReAction line creates
3 ¾” figures in a retro "Kenner" 5POA style.

The Goonies is a action adventure  movie released in 1985 where a group of childhood friends seek out one eyed willy the pirates treasure.

Chunk looks pretty cool, i love the chocolate bar accessory, but maybe he could be a little plumper? Also interesting they went from a "Hawaiian shirt" to a black one, though at this scale it may have been to intricate a design.

I really like this figure and all the gadgets, the coat is an odd colour though.

A cool figure, if a little bland compared to some of the others. The accessory looks awesome.

This figure probably looks like the actor the most, its odd that the colours of the clothing are off from the picture, perhaps as they had to do it with Chunk they decided to do it with all of them so Chunk didn't look out of place...

Awesome to have a Sloth, i do hope the kids are short and Sloth is at least a full sized figure. From memory he towered above them. I love and adore that pirate hat!

Opinion:

I really like this line, though if the scale is wrong, Kids adult height or same size as Sloth i wont feel the same. I think part of the awesome of Reaction is that all these different licenses are in the same scale and style.

ReAction news: Escape from New York

Snake Plissken

Funko and Super 7 are releasing two figures for the ReAction line based on the movie Escape from New York.
The ReAction line creates
3 ¾” figures in a retro "Kenner" 5POA style.

Escape from New York is a sort of sci-fi action movie released in 1981 set in the far flung future of 1997.

This version of snake has a black singlet.

This version of snake has on a jacket.

Opinion:
While the figures both look cool, I am not so sure i "need" to versions of the same character that are so similar.

Preview: Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad

So i have to admit right here, that i have never seen an episode of Breaking Bad, i saw a movie i thought was called breaking Bad about a kid that throws a huge party, but that is not this, and i cant seem to find any evidence of that movie ether, so lets just smile and move on.

Note:

Some of these figures are subject to licensing approval.

Saul Goodman of whom i know nothing about.

Walter White, it is a mystery to my why he is only wearing his tiny whities, glasses and shirt, also he has a gun.

Walter also comes dressed in a chemical suit, which reminds me that this series is about making and selling drugs to some extent.

He has only one name, like Madonna, so he must be important.

Jesse Pinkman looks cool.

And Jesse is in the chemical suit as well, now maybe their not just drug cooks but also work in professional cleaning or a factory.
Should i watch the show?

He kind of reminds me of John Locke from Lost for some reason. Also i imagine him waving that gun yelling "Get off my lawn!"

Hank might be wearing a police badge around his neck.

Now the only thing i know about this character is that he is gay. I am told its not explicitly stated on the show but wouldn't that have been something, to have an openly gay African American as a regular of a tv series.

Hmmm Gus seems to be having some trouble with his face. Is he a zombie? Has he turned into a Two-Face style super villain. I um well shrugs...

Verdict:

I have been a little silly with my descriptions, having never seen the show. I mean no disrespect to the fans and i hope one day to watch this series, i have heard good things. I didn't want to look into these characters for fear of major spoilers, like whatever happened to Gus face...

Availability:

The Breaking Bad Pop! Series will be available in July at Hot Topic, Barnes & Noble, and EntertainmentEarth.com.

Preview: Who Framed Roger Rabbit

 Who Framed Roger Rabbit

Funko is making some Disney pop figures from the 1988 movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

The Rabbit Himself, he looks good, like his Toon character.

Rogers flirtatious Toon wife, looks like a chibbi version of her character. That microphone looks like it may have been a clever way to help her stand, so she doesn't suffer from Danny syndrome.

A corrupt judge of Toontown, Doom looks the part.

I have to think that this character is actually Smart Ass the Weasel.

Preview: Transformers pop!

Transformers

Funko are making some pop transformers to go along with the incredibly horrible Transformers live action movies.
Fans of the movie aesthetic should like these offerings;

Autobot Drift, hmmmm Drift he must play a huge role in the upcoming  Age of Extinction movie. Drift was once a deception know as deadlock, he carries a cool sword that taps ito the power of the users spark energy.
I don't know if any of that will make it into the movie though.

Optimus Prime we all know him, the do good, do nothing leader of the Autobots. He looks ok, wonder if he will get a Rides Grimlock, now that would be cool.

Bumblebee i am not really sure why he is so loved by everybody, he did swear in the original movie which was kind of cool. But until hes a VW Beetle again. ill pass.

Verdct:

I cant help but wonder what the G1 Transformers would look like as Pops. Perhaps even the Beast Wars era ones, but as it stands these are an easy miss for me. I am curious how they will go as non-transforming transformers have always been a little bit odd.
Also no decepticons? That is kind of odd, not even Megatron?
