News: ReAction Alien playset an exclusive

I am sure the whole neighborhood heard me scream!

So Super 7 have been teasing us with some ReAction exclusives. I have held of reporting on it because there really wasn't any information.

So here it is, looks awesome right? Well yes it does but it is a SDCC exclusive limited to only 250 and for $100. So i am never going to get it, the hope is it will be released as a non numbered, non limited, non exclusive at some point, perhaps in a different coloured box?

Also this:

A limited exclusive (i think) blind box egg with a limited exclusive Alien character inside, that also acts as a stand. It my understanding that these will have new sculpts, colours and characters inside. I try not to do blind boxes anymore and am disappointed in this being a thing. Well i can see this alienating the completest and frustrating Alien fans no end.

Opinions:

Boo...Hissssssss!
Super 7 have come out and said that all the ReAction sculpts will be available eventually, so that's something.
Also sadly they said it was basically impossible to make a production model of the play set.

The Rocketeer:

Funko just announced a SDCC exclusive Figure for the 2014 SDCC (San Diego comic convention).

Its the Rocketeer in black and white. That is rather cool, though the movie was in colour.
He would fit in with the Bif Bang Pow Twilight Zone figures.

Here he is with the Ghostbusters exclusives for 2014 SDCC.

ReAction News: The Terminator

The Terminator

Funko and Super 7 are releasing figures for the ReAction line based on the movie franchise The Terminator.
The ReAction line creates
3 ¾” figures in a retro "Kenner" 5POA style.
The Terminator movie was released in 1984 is a science fiction action movie.

Is that supposed to be Arnold Schwarzenegger? It looks good enough i suppose.

 Looks cool has two guns.

The endoskeleton looks very cool it reminds me of my old Star Wars Kenner 8D8 figure.

A metalic chrome version of the endoskeleton looks cool, i wish they were named differently for ease of buying online.

Look at that hair! Awesome. Though she needs an accessory.

Cloth coat looks pretty. Facial sculpt doesn't look too bad as well.

Opinions:

This line looks very nice, i may have an issue getting these unnamed variants though.

Released:

August 2014

ReAction News: Nightmare Before Christmas

The Nightmare Before Christmas

Funko and Super 7 are releasing figures for the ReAction line based on the movie The Nightmare Before christmas.
The ReAction line creates
3 ¾” figures in a retro "Kenner" 5POA style.

The Nightmare Before christmas is a weird but enjoyable Yule movie released in 1993.

This is a grinning Jack, it is a pity he didn't come with a different accessory like a red and white Yule hat.

What is the go with this facial expression?  Its bizzare, and i think i love it, i wish the variants had different names so buying online was easier. I would have liked a different accessory, like his ghost dog?

This is the one i think of as the "normal" Jack, he has his book of holidays, i think.

I like that this figure is so tiny and comes with a bunch of accessories.

Is it wrong that i dont even remember him from the movie, i only re-watched it last year... Still who wouldn't want a big guy with an axe in his head?

Ahhh the created stereotype of a devil, he is cute, i think his pitchfork is adorable.

Like most politicians he is two faced. He is a cool figure.

A completly superflious character, really i would have rather had any other background character, the Ishtar bunny, Santa, Boogie  anyone really. I suppose she is an okay figure, and comes with her poising tools by the look of it... I think she is missing her stitches?

Opinion:

These figures look highly polished and i don't know if they fit exactly into the ReAction line, i cant quite put my finger on what it is, so it may be nothing. something about the Mayer definitely doesn't sit right with me for some reason.
Having said that Jack, Devil and Barrel will probably find a home here.

Released:
August 2014

About the holidays:

christmas is a christian holiday believed to have been incorporated into the christian calender to help convert the pagans, it is heavily based on Yule, the pagan holy celebration of the winter solstice. Yule is celebrated 21 or 22 December in the northern hemisphere and 21 June in the southern hemisphere.

Halloween or Samhain is a seasonal religious holy day celebrated on the 30th of April–1st of May in the Southern Hemisphere, and as it is a seasonal festival it is celebrated on the 31st of October –1st of November in the northern hemisphere.

At Samhain the veil between this world and the spiritual world is very thin, as such it is a time to communicate, honor and pay respect to those who have died.

Preview: Buffy

Buffy
The Vampire Slayer:

Funko are releasing vinyl Pop figures for the hugely popular Buffy series.

First up we have Buffy and Mr Pointy, she looks cool.I worry she may have "Daenerys syndrome"...

Oz the hot redhead werewolf, sadly without his guitar.

Willow was everyone's favorite lesbian Witch, she rocks.I hope she does not have "Daenerys syndrome".

Spike the hottest vampire on the show looks awesome.

This is supposed to be a Vampire faced chase figure, not an exclusive, i am not sure what the sticker says. He looks nice all lumpy faced.

The Gentlemen, well one of them looks suitably creepy. This character is possibly one form of inspiration for the Slenderman creepy pasta.

The other vampire, until i re-watched the show on DVD i remembered him being a minor character, brought in for the later seasons, isn't that weird.

SPOILER: Most remembered for selfishly destroying the ring that was meant for Spike and killing a whole lot of people.

Opinion:

The figures look cool, one can only assume that there will be a wave two as we don't even have the full "scooby gang" yet.

Do i still have to give spoiler warnings for a series that was aired in 1997? What is the proper spoiler etiquete here? we are sensitive to the spoiler issue in Australia as we often got shows three seasons behind the rest of the world.

Release:

September 2014
