06 Gremlins

 The Nameless Gremlin

Gremlins is a 1984  horror comedy movie. If you haven't seen it go do so now, there is also a sequel. Gremlins is my favorite Yule (21st / 22nd June in Australia) movie.

Gremlins is the 6th figure in the Funko pop Movies line of collectables.

Strangely this figure is named Gremlins despite the fact it is clearly a representation of Stripe, as the other Gremlins did not have his mo hawk.

Gremlins has a nose and mouth, his mouth has an adorable grin that shows of his sharp teeth.

The molding on the figure is amazing, here we can see the detail around his eyes.

Here is Gremlins Mohawk, and note the painted detail on his ears.

His back has some nice colouring and also some bumps along the spine.

A closer look at Gremlins tail.

Gremlin hands end in three claws.

His feet also continue the three claws.

Here he is with Gizmo. I have to mention that Gremlins is one of the most well done Funko pop toys i have seen.

Gremlins fits in well with the other Movies releases, from left to right we have; Alien, Freddy, Gizmo, Jason, Michael, and Leonidas.

Gremlins may be vicious but above all else they just want to have fun.

A video review.

In the real world Gremlins are mischevious little creatures or spirits that sabotage machinery, specifically during wartime.

04 Gizmo

Gremlins

 Gremlins is a 1984 American horror comedy film. A man buys a pet Mogwai for his teenage son. The strange creature is named Gizmo and has three rules to its care;

Never expose it to bright light,
Never get it wet;
Never, ever feed it after midnight.

 Gizmo is the star of both gremlins and the sequel Gremlins 2. He is a furry little biped from china.

 Gizmo is number 4 in the Movies line of Funko pop vinyl figures, he is the first Gremlins figure. The box art is reminiscent of the wooden box that Gizmo lived in at the antique shop.

 The Mogwai has its head turned in the window box which is unusual.

Short of making him plush (there may be a flocked exclusive) i don't see how Gizmo could be any closer to his movie counterpart.

Gizmos ears are large and wide. In the movie they are very articulate but on the figure the only articulation is at the neck.

 His hands and feet are beyond adorable.

 For some size comparison we have Leonidas on the left and Bicycle Girl from The Walking Dead on the right.

Inside every cute Mogwai waits a vicious Gremlin.

The other Gremlins Movie figure is called Gremlins, though it is clearly Stripe.

 Limited/Exclusives:

There is a flocked exclusive to 2011 San Diego Comic Con that is limited to 480 fuzzy pieces.
