Off Topic: Bot Shots series 1

Bot shots are a line of transformers with a form of auto-transformation. They are similar to Bakugan in that there is a game involved. What attracts many to these simple toys is the Generation one like decoration of the figures.

Another bonus is the art, it is very reminiscent of G1 or early G2 box art. I do wish they had tech speck cards though, it would be cool to have a copy of the art with the characters name and stats.

Each figure has a three sided panel in their chests. One side shows Fist, one Gun and the last is Sword. Beside each pictogram is a number.

The game works by rolling your chosen bot at your opponents bot, when they collide they will spring into robot mode and reveal the panel you have chosen.
You must choose a side first, it is not randomised during the opening process.

Fist beats Sword and Sword beats Gun and Gun beats fist.
This doesn't really make any sense but for the game it works as a simple Rock, Paper, Scissors mechanic.
If both players have chosen the same picture than the highest number wins.

All the figures have the same gimmick. You hit there front parts (bumper, nosecone etc) and they flip open into robot mode.

There are figures that are "rare" and called super bots.

The only noticeable difference is that these figures are translucent / transparent. There are no special rules associated with these figures.

There are also some figures that come with "trailers".
Some of the "trailers" attach while others just kind of barely sit in place.

The "trailers" can detach from the bot shot and with the push of a button, open into bases.
These bases double as launchers, that propel any bot shot into battle.

The Autobots are out in force. With many old faces making an appearance.

The Decepticons also have some old faces, but there are unfortunately some movieverse characters in amongst both sides.

The Decepticon Seekers are represented. As you can see Starscreams "trailer" is a bit of a stretch.

All the seekers are repaints of the same mold. We have two varients of Starscream.

The Autobot forces are plagued by an infestation of multitudes of Bumblebees.

And to our disappointment there isn't a Volkswagen in sight.

We have a few repaints of Optimus Prime, there is even a Nemesis Prime among the Decepticon forces that uses the same mold.

The transforming "trailer" actually makes sense for the Optimus'es..Optimi... various Optimus Prime figures.

We also get some Megatrons in series one.

Unfortunately they are plagued with the movieverse look.
The "trailer" doesn't really make much sense for the tanks. A nice earth tank would have looked good, a missed opportunity.

SERIES: 2

The Bot Shots in the picture above are from series 2.
There are 3 new types of transformation in this series, which should add more variety.
Unfortunately we already have bumblebees overpopulating this newly released Series 2
I hope the inclusion of some Beast Hunters characters should be interesting, and we may get some "out of the box" bots.

I would like to see some Generation one Constructicons, Insecticons, and Dinobots. I would also like to see no more Bubblebees, unless he is a Volkswagen beetle.
What do you want to see in series 2 or beyond?
