News: Disney: Maleficent Movie

Disney: Maleficent Movie

In anticipation of the movie, Funko are debuting two new Pop figures.

Maleficent is looking dastardly.

Aurora is looking quite sweet. I really like that gold wreath.

News: Major League Baseball Mascots

Major League Baseball Mascots

The mascot of the  San Diego Padres.

The first live action mascot, Mr. Met, made his debut with the New York Mets at Shea Stadium at 1964. He is the mascot of the New York Mets.

The mascot of the Seattle Mariners is probably the only one of these i would buy.

Alien mascot of the Houston Astros.

The Philadelphia Phillies mascot is apparently a bird.

The mascot of the Cincinnati Reds i believe.

Mascot of the Boston Red Sox.

News: Rocks: Vocaloids?

Vocaloids

So apparently Vocaloid is a singing synthesizer application software that enables users to synthesize singing by typing in lyrics and melody.

What? These things are really avalabe in June 2014...

News: Magic: The Gathering

Magic: The Gathering

Funko is making Magic: The Gathering Planeswalker figures for their popular Pop! Vinyl Figures.

Probably my favorite figure in the MTG line. He is awesome. Grrr!

Dont know anything about her, does have a kind of steampunk vibe that may appeal to some.

The beast caller looks like an awesome figure. Probably my second choice.

Jace looks alright but doesn't do much for me personally.

Another pass for me on this figure, but oddly she makes me want figures from the series Passions.

Nissa is a fine figure and i am sure MTG fans will want them all.

News: D.I.Y Pop!

DIY POP!

Funko have released some Do It Yourself Pop figures.

This white featureless blank will be highly desirable to customisers. Some kind soul might even give to poor chap his nipples back.

There is also a female body.

Funko also released emerald green DIY pops exclusive to the 2014 Emerald City Comicon in Seattle. Limited to 300 pieces all up.

News: Guardians of the Galaxy

Guardians of the Galaxy

To celebrate the upcoming (august 2014) movie, Funko is releasing a line of pop figures.

When i first saw this figure i thought it was Kratos.  Drax looks very cool but he has no nipples, very odd.

A green woman, i know little of the Guardians so i cant say too much, she looks ok.

Groot he looks amazing, i remember reading an old comic where Groot tried to invade the world. He is awesome.

He looks adorable. Who wouldn't like a rockety Raccoon?

The star of the show and personally the weakest figure.

Sadly the much better  Unmasked Star Lord figure is exclusive to Amazon.com.

Release Date:

June 2014

Silent Bob from Jay and silent Bob strike back.

45 Silent Bob

Silent Bob along with his partner Jay are the linch pin of the Askewniverse movies. Sorry the LINKS are not working.

Silent Bob is number 43 in the Movies line of Funko vinyl Pop! figures, he is from the Jay and Silent Bob strike back movie.

Silent Bobs figure is a good likeness and fits well with Jay.

Silent Bob looks the part, his paint isn't too bad.

He wears his trademark backwoods baseball cap.

He has one hand in his pocket and the other is holding a cigarette. That reminds me of a song. The smoke is very poorly painted.

His shoes look very cool.

I would love a pop sized shop facade for them to stand in front.

From another movie.

Jay From Jay and Silent Bob strike back

42 Jay

Jay and Silent bob are the stars in the movies Clerks, mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob strike back, Clerks 2, and Jay & Silent Bob’s Super Groovy Cartoon Movie.
They also appear in the series
Clerks: The Animated Series and in comics.

They are awesome characters and if you havent you should check out their movies.

Jay is the 42nd Funko Pop! vinyl figure in the Movies line, he is specifically from the Jay & silent Bob strike back movie.

Jay is a charming drug dealing character, it would appear that he has repressed his homosexuality due to society's barbaric views on the nature of human sexuality, which makes the audience sympathetic towards his character.

Jay the Pop figure is almost as cute as the real Jay (Jason Mewes).

Jay is wearing his Beserker shirt.

Jay looks cool in his outfit.

His hair is quite cool.

Here i create a classic scene with Silent Bob.

Jay with a group of Pop figures standing up for human rights.

Here is Silent Bob, Jay and King Louie, but why? Do you know the reference?
