Watchmen
Watchman is a graphic novel created in 1986 and released by DC comics. The comic depicts a reality where super heroes fought for America in the Vietnam war. Now costumed heroes have been outlawed and are
retired or work for the government. In 2009 a film was released and these figures are in the movies line.
Dr Manhattan
Dr Manhattan was a scientist who gained powers over matter in an "Intrinsic Field Subtractor" accident. He could not perceive time with a linear perspective and while he retained human habits he slowly slipped away from his humanity.
My biggest issue with this figure is that it is wearing clothing and it would have been nice to have an authentic, tasteful nude Dr Manhattan. It amazes me that these pops which are designed for adult collectors can have weapons, be undead or slasher killers and that's acceptable but a nude character (in the tradition of the Greek nude sculptures) is too much.
He looks like a cool figure, pick him up, if you can get over that he hasn't been neutered by crazy censorship...
Perhaps i am wrong and those undies may be made of rubber and are removable?
Rorschach
Walter J Kovacs is Rorschach A vigilante who wears a white mask that contains a symmetrical but constantly shifting ink blot pattern used by psychiatrists. The mask appears to be his only super power. He still fights crime despite being an outlaw. Rorschach sees things as very black and white.
Look here for an exclusive figure.
The figure looks very cool and should be a must for every psychologists desk. But unless the release a better Dr Manhattan, there isn't much point, for me, in getting this character.
