News: Magic: The Gathering

Magic: The Gathering

Funko is making Magic: The Gathering Planeswalker figures for their popular Pop! Vinyl Figures.

Probably my favorite figure in the MTG line. He is awesome. Grrr!

Dont know anything about her, does have a kind of steampunk vibe that may appeal to some.

The beast caller looks like an awesome figure. Probably my second choice.

Jace looks alright but doesn't do much for me personally.

Another pass for me on this figure, but oddly she makes me want figures from the series Passions.

Nissa is a fine figure and i am sure MTG fans will want them all.

Disco Skeletor Television Masters of the Universe

Disco Skeletor

Skeletor is one of the major villains in the Masters of the Universe story.

Skeletor is the 19th figure in the Funko vinyl Pop Masters of the Universe Television line. This version is the SDCC exclusive figure that is limited to 480 pieces.

The limited figure is noted by the sticker on the front of the window box.

Skeletor is a good representation of his cartoon character, i have no idea about why he is dressed in this outfit, or its relevance.
If you know please comment and share your knowledge.

Skeletor's Skeletal face has pale Funko eyes, a hollow for a nose and prominent teeth.

The figure is very nicely detailed with metallic paint.

Skeletor wields the Havoc staff that amplifies and enhances his magical powers, this version has startling gold horns.

His costume is nicely detailed and faithful to his classic character, though as mentioned the colours are far more fabulous.

Here he is beside Disco Glitter Zombie from the Plants Vs Zombies line.

Here he is beside his ordinary Skeletor version.

Skeletor and Disco Skeletor look amazing on display beside He-Man.

Exclusive figures; Acid splash Alien, Blood splatter Bicycle Girl, Disco skeletor and Glow in the Dark White Walker.

Batman questions Skeletor about the missing nipple mystery. Oddly Skeletor has no nipples.

Skeletor Television Masters of the Universe

Skeletor

Skeletor is one of the major villains in the Masters of the Universe story.

Skeletor is the 19th figure in the Funko vinyl Pop Masters of the Universe Television line.

Skeletor is a good representation of his cartoon character and a decent re-imagining of the original toy.

Skeletor has red Funko eyes, a hollow for a nose and skeletal teeth.

The figure is very nicely detailed.

Skeletor wields the Havoc staff that amplifies and enhances his magical powers.

His costume is nicely detailed and faithful to his classic character.

44 Zombie Jake Adventure Time

Zombie Jake

Jake come from the cartoon network program Adventure time, in one of the episodes he became a zombie, this is his figure.

Zombie Jake is number 44 in the television pop line he is from the Adventure time Funko pop series.

Note the sticker on the box which identify s this figure as a San Diego comic 2013 convention exclusive, limited to 1008 pieces.

He looks very much like a zombie version of Jake the dog.

Jake is still a magic dog while he is a zombie and has magical mody manipulation powers.

The figure has no articulation but it does have zombie veins.

His face is molded and coloured very well.

His mouth is bizarre, the pale white area almost looks translucent, i am not sure what is going on here. I have a weird feeling the mouth and tongue may be some kind of sticker? I don't know for sure but the effect works well here.

Here are some zombies from my Funko Pop collection. If your interested just type "zombie" into the search box at the top right, that should bring up a hoard of them.

Just for comparison, the ordinary Jake from wave one.

09 Winged Monkey

Winged Flying Monkey

Winged monkeys also known as flying monkeys are characters from the popular iconic gay franchise The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Originally a collection of books, the story was made into a movie in 1939.

Winged Monkey is the 9th figure in the Funko vinyl pop Movies line. He is from wave one, to see more click here.

In the real world Winged Monkeys are called Hsigo and come from Chinese legend and mythology where they act like a familiar to those skilled in magic.

Winged Monkey has two slits for a nose, no mouth and the usual pop black eyes.

A little hat adorns his head which also has a mo-hawk and curls.

Winged Monkey has cool monkey feet and a little monkey servant costume, reminiscent of those old street organ grinder monkeys.

The Winged Monkey has a cool monkey tail and nice feathered wings.

Here Winged Monkey stands with his primate friends, Chi Chai Monchan the monkey and Bumble the Yeti.

Here Winged Monkey plays the part of Monkey from Monkey magic, which was based on the adventures of Sun Wukong, also known as the Monkey King, from the ancient Chinese, journey to the west.
