Preview: Breaking Bad

Breaking Bad

 

So i have to admit right here, that i have never seen an episode of Breaking Bad, i saw a movie i thought was called breaking Bad about a kid that throws a huge party, but that is not this, and i cant seem to find any evidence of that movie ether, so lets just smile and move on.

Saul Goodman of whom i know nothing about.

Walter White, it is a mystery to my why he is only wearing his tiny whities, glasses and shirt, also he has a gun.

Walter also comes dressed in a chemical suit, which reminds me that this series is about making and selling drugs to some extent. 

He has only one name, like Madonna, so he must be important.

Jesse Pinkman looks cool. 

And Jesse is in the chemical suit as well, now maybe their not just drug cooks but also work in professional cleaning or a factory.  

Should i watch the show?

He kind of reminds me of John Locke from Lost for some reason. Also i imagine him waving that gun yelling "Get off my lawn!"

Hank might be wearing a police badge around his neck.

Now the only thing i know about this character is that he is gay. I am told its not explicitly stated on the show but wouldn't that have been something, to have an openly gay African American as a regular of a tv series.

Hmmm Gus seems to be having some trouble with his face. Is he a zombie? Has he turned into a Two-Face style super villain. I um well shrugs...

Verdict:

I have been a little silly with my descriptions, having never seen the show. I mean no disrespect to the fans and i hope one day to watch this series, i have heard good things. I didn't want to look into these characters for fear of major spoilers, like whatever happened to Gus face...

Preview: Transformers pop!

Transformers

Funko are making some pop transformers to go along with the incredibly horrible Transformers live action movies.
Fans of the movie aesthetic should like these offerings;

Autobot Drift, hmmmm Drift he must play a huge role in the upcoming  Age of Extinction movie. Drift was once a deception know as deadlock, he carries a cool sword that taps ito the power of the users spark energy. 
I don't know if any of that will make it into the movie though.
 

 Optimus Prime we all know him, the do good, do nothing leader of the Autobots. He looks ok, wonder if he will get a Rides Grimlock, now that would be cool.

Bumblebee i am not really sure why he is so loved by everybody, he did swear in the original movie which was kind of cool. But until hes a VW Beetle again. ill pass.

Verdct:

I cant help but wonder what the G1 Transformers would look like as Pops. Perhaps even the Beast Wars era ones, but as it stands these are an easy miss for me. I am curious how they will go as non-transforming transformers have always been a little bit odd.

Also no decepticons? That is kind of odd, not even Megatron?

Robby the Robot, Forbidden Planet review

Robby the Robot

Funko have released their Robby the Robot figure. Robby first appeared in the 1956 science fiction movie Forbidden Planet. 
He went on to appear in many other movies, series and even did some commercial advertising. He is in the Robot Hall of Fame.

 Robby is number 89 in the Funko vinyl pop movies line of figures.

 

Robby has his big feet and tire like legs.

 

 Robby looks like hims self, is well painted and is quick a sturdy heavy figure.

  

He has nicely painted and accurate dials on his chest unit.

  

His head is also nicely sculpted.

 

Here he is with the Lost in space Robot, Robby also appeared in Lost in Space.

 Robby is a classic and much loved robot.

ReAction Ash, Alien figure

Ash

Ash is the science officer on board the Nostromo in the 1979 movie Alien. If you haven't seen that movie, go watch it now.

 This retro figure by Funko and Super 7 comes in a cool blister card.

Ash is an adult collectable not a toy! It even says so on the package.

 Ash examines his patient.

 I am too scared to see if anyone has shipped these two.

Ash points out the alien architecture of the derelict.

 Strangely the actors face is not on the packaging, there close enough so you know who it represents though.

 Who is the monster?

 Ash and Ripley reenact a scene from the movie.

 Ash comes with one accessory, the motion tracker, though i would have liked him to come with a rolled up porn magazine.

 This retro line is looking kind of incredible.

Ash and the other crew members are all  3 ¾” scale.

ReAction Alien Ripley

 Ripley

Ellen Louise Ripley was one of the first real horror movie female heroines she is the lead character in the alien movie, if we dont count the alien itself.

The retro blister card packaging from the Funko and Super 7 ReAction Ripley figure in the Alien line.

 These are retro adult collectables not toys.

Ripley has five points of articulation and looks like a decent figure.

The face on my figure is alright but the eyes are painted poorly, it looks like she is rolling her eyes or is going cross eyed, very derpy. There is also a section of hair painted in skin tones, though the hair is molded excellently.

Its a decent enough likeness.

She stands almost 4 inches tall.

I like the Ripley mold, its good to see a non exaggerated female body.

Her uniform is very nicely detailed.

She is feminine without being ludicrous. 

I really like the shoes, you can see the laces and all.

She comes with one accessory a flamethrower, that fits in her right hand nicely.

Ripley looks good with the Alien.

Look behind you Ripley!

She had the strange sensation she was being followed.

Aliens going to take Ripley home to meet mummy.
