The figure is cool, he has the Spartan armor and it is well detailed.

 The helmet has nice metallic gold paint on the visor.

The weapons detail is very nice.

Preview: Starcraft

Starcraft

My first introduction to Starcraft was at a Lan. We often played Warcraft (yes the original) and this was introduced to us. I had some problems with my computer overheating and set up in the breeze away from the others. I had to get up and ask, and observe to see how to play the game. I was wiped out completely within the first 5 minutes. I never played again.

Anyway, Funko pop are going to release some figures for their Games line.

Jim Raynor

So who or what is a Jim Raynor? He has some cool armor. apparently according to the Internets, he is some kind of big deal, fighting against the Confederacy and the Dominion. He has got some cool armor.

 Kerrigan

Who is Kerrigan you may well ask? Sarah Louise Kerrigan was born a Terran (Human) and captured by the Zerg (alien/ Zenomorph race) and turned into some kind of Terran-Zerg hybrid. She goes on to control the Zerg. Thats all well and good but she looks awesome and incredible!

The Big Bad himself, the demon who created the franchise, Diablo, is looking awesome in his red scaly skin.

Tyrael, the Archangel of Justice, is a force for good in the world of Diablo, he looks interesting for sure.

Illidan

 

Illidan the betrayer, lord of Outland, is a unique blend of Night Elf and Demon.He has adorable horns and hooves and a nicely detailed torso.

Arthas

Arthas , The Lich King, is the ultimate Big Bad. He rose from a Paladin to become feared and reviled thorough the worlds. Now you can hold him in your cold dead hands and bask in his terrifying cuteness.

Honestly i didn't know much about Oswald Rabbit, he was created in the 1920 and is apparently quite popular. He stars alongside Micky in Epic Micky.

Limited Editions/Exclusives:

There was one limited edition exclusive that i know of, the Disco Ball Zombie. It is a variant of Disco Zombie and is a San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) 2012 Exclusive Edition which is limited to 480 pieces.

 

 

Verdict:

I am happy with all of the figures in this line. The Sunflower's lack of articulation was a surprise. And i can see some people being annoyed at the sameness of the zombies, but this is true to the game.
Best figure:   Zombie
Least figure: Disco Zombie


Zombie is very iconic and i like that he is a cute version of the games zombies. While i never experienced Disco Zombie while playing so he has no real nostalgia factor for me.

 

 

The One That Got Away:

To the best of my knowledge, there are no figures missing from my collection of this line, at this time.
There is a 2013 SDCC exclusive.

 

 Whats next: 

To the best of my knowledge there are no plans for further figures for this theme at the moment.

05 Conehead Zombie

"A road-cone protects my head"

Conehead Zombie

Conehead Zombie is one of the first specialist zombies you encounter in the tower defense computer game Plants Vs Zombies. He is considerable tougher than other zombies as you need to shoot the cone protecting his head before he will take any damage.

Conehead Zombie is the 5th and final (in the first wave at least) of Plants Vs Zombies Funko vinyl pop figures.

Conehead Zombie looks very similar to Zombie. He has the same torn and ragged suit.

The one feature that differentiates him from Zombie is his distinctive head adornment. But as mentioned it isn't just a fashion statement the traffic cone protects the zombies vulnerable brain. The cone itself is shiny and plastic looking, it also adds considerably to this zombies height.

The other feature that sets Conehead apart from zombie (shown on the right) is that Coneheads eyes are decidedly askew. This is possibly a byproduct of thinking hard enough to protect his head.

04 Sunflower

 

"We don't want zombies on our lawn"

Sunflower

 

Sunflower is a type of plant in the Plants Vs Zombies  tower defense computer game . The Sunflower generates sunlight which allows the building of other plants to defend your garden. She is well know for her light production and singing voice.

Sunflower is the 4th figure in the Plants Vs Zombies line of Funko pop vinyl Figures. She is a good representation of the computer character.

The Sunflower has no articulation. None, it is a static piece with no movable parts at all.

Sunflower wears her usual happy smile.

The back of Sunflowers head has  nice textured details reminiscent of an actual sunflower.

The base of Sunflower looks like four leaves. With her sunny disposition and flowery nature Sunflower is sure to please both fans of the game, and anyone who needs to brighten there day.

Poor Sunflower can not walk, but she can still dance.

Here we see a size comparison. Sunflower stands between Zombie also from the Plants Vs Zombies line and Daenerys Targaryen from wave 1 of a Game of Thrones.

03 exclusive SDCC Disco Zombie

"Disco UNlives"

Disco Zombie is the replacement for Michael Jackson zombie in the Plants Vs Zombies tower defense computer game. Disco is a type of music popular in the 1970, people still listen and dance to it today.  This edition is called Metallic Disco Zombie, Disco ball Zombie  or Glitter Disco Zombie.

Disco Zombie is the 3rd in the Plants Vs Zombies line of Funko vinyl pop figures.

This is the San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) 2012 Exclusive Edition which is limited to 480 pieces. 

While the box art is the same as the regular Disco Zombie, what you want to see, if you are looking for this version, is this SDCC sticker on the front, lower right, of the window box.

Disco Ball Zombie is remarkable for his glitter effect.

 His jacket is dark hand has glitter all about it.

His shoes are now silver and also sparkle nicely. They still retain the fish design.

The figures themselves are identical, except for colour and that the exclusive figure has sparkles. 

 

 Disco Ball Zombie is a nice, if quirky addition to your zombie pop horde.
