Preview: Horror Movie Pop!

Horror Pop!

Funko are about to release more Horror figures for there Funko Pop! vinyl figure movies line.

Chucky

Chucky from the 1990 Childs Play 2 movie. Chucky is actually,  Charles Lee Ray a serial killer called "The Lakeshore Strangler". He has possessed the body of a doll, but wants to transfer his soul to a human once more. A good movie franchise, have a Chucky movie night and see them all.
As for the figure itself, i would have much preferred for him to be one of those smaller sized Funko pop figures, that would have been cool. Still a nice figure for any Horror movie aficionado.

Ghost face

Ghost face is actually a Samhain costume that several serial killers have worn since the 1996 Scream movie. The costume is based on The Scream a famous painting by  Edvard Munch. Though a human wears the costume, the Ghostface persona seems to posses inhuman endurance, strength and stealth, as well as the ability to teleport!
The figure looks cool, and who wouldn't like a Ghostface in their collection.

Sam

I hadnt seen this movie until now. It is kind of cool. Sam is a short Trick or Treater who goes out on Samhain and reminds people of the spirit of Halloween.
As with Chucky im wishing this guy was much smaller, but he may in fact be short, will have to wait and see. He kind of reminds me of Sackboy which isn't very scary.

Off topic: Zero Hour

Turn based survival horror using dice, cards and the creatures of the night. A competitive game for 2-6 players.

This game looks amazing, check it out on Kickstarter

The basic game comes with everything shown above as well as i believe a , you can opt for the deluxe game which features an additional "pale one" encounter deck.
The project will release more encounter decks and special dice when certain funding levels are reached. So the more people who pledge the more awesome this game will become.

They are making  plush toys of the creature from Zero Hour, "The Pale One" (Slender man?) is 32" and weighs a little less than a pound this doll is limited to 300 signed and numbered pieces.

My advice would be to go check out this project, before venturing into any mysterious wooded area. Remember Kickstarter is risky and there are no real safeguards.

The project is already fully funded and is reaching stretch goals, which means bonus material for backers.

All art belongs to the project creators, and limited art prints are also available.

UPDATE
I backed Zero Hour and have yet to see anything for my money (its now July 2016), it appears  American backers pledges were fulfilled (mostly) but not international. The creator has ceased all communication with his backers and has created new kickstarters that seem to be having similar problems. I truly apologize if i encouraged anyone to back this project.

Off topic: Slender Man: Plush Toy

Slender Man: Plush Toy

If you haven't seen this amazing Slender Man doll yet go have a look right now.

Slender Man is a huge 32" plush created with the finest fabrics and materials. He is a soft, yet durable toy and is absolutely adorable while remaining as creepy as can be.

The doll is designed by R. Todd Broadwater of Nevermore Toys and  Katy Kincade, a talented artist and seamstress.
It is currently on Kickstarter so please have a look at the project and read Kickstarter's terms and conditions before securing your very own Slender Man.

Also there are other goodies available, including limited art prints by
Santiago Germano, Denae Wilkowski, and Brenden Wilson, which look incredible.

Act fast as the project closes on the 21st of July 2013.

 What is a Slender Man?

On June 8th, 2009, a spooky Photoshop contest was launched on the Something Awful website, and slender Man was born, though he was not fully formed and the internet has worked to create a living urban legend.

Slender Man is a thin, unnaturally tall man with a blank and featureless face, wearing a black suit. He has tentacle like arms and can form more tentacles from his back. Slender Man is said to stalk, abduct, and generally traumatise people, his motives remain mysterious.

Followup:

I will give a review of the doll when i receive it, so check back often. Why not be a part of Slender man lore and get your own Slender Man doll.
If your not interested yourself, consider sharing to a social site and spread the word so together we can make Slenderman a reality.

UPDATE:

The Kickstarter for this item has closed without reaching the desired funding amount, ill make another post if it is relaunched.
The new project can be found on kickstarter now called ZERO HOUR.

My meager Paint skills place Slender Man at Minyon falls. Imagine all the fun you could have placing Slendy in those holiday shots.
