Hannibal Lecter

 

Hannibal Lecter is the star of a series of books and movies. He is an cannibal with horrible mental problems.

The movie is a drama thriller released in 1991.

Hannibal is the 25th figure in the movies line of Funko pop vinyl figures.

Hannibal is very representative of the movie character.

He wears the muzzle mask from the movies.

Our fingers are safe from midnight snacking.

Hannibal wears the orange inmate colours and a nice white straight jacket.

What really sets this figure apart and makes it a must buy, is the fact that Hannibal is strapped into a trolly, for your safety. But no sadly the wheels do not turn.

Poor Robin is a little distressed.

Hannibel is a welcome addition to the Movies line of figures. From front to back, left to right we have; Hannibal, Jason, Leatherface, Freddy, and Michael.

A horrible psychotic killer from the horrible movie House of a thousand corpses, i haven't seen the sequel The Devil's Rejects and doubt i ever will. Released 12th November 2013.

Pennywise

Stephen Kings move It, is an excellent film and a must see. Pennywise is one of Its forms. I wont say too much. This figure may find its way into my collection, in a locked strongbox. Released 12th November 2013.

 A disturbed and bloody clown doctor form Children's Hospital, for the Television series of Funko pops!

Funko are about to release more Horror figures for there Funko Pop! vinyl figure movies line.

Chucky

 

Chucky from the 1990 Childs Play 2 movie. Chucky is actually,  Charles Lee Ray a serial killer called "The Lakeshore Strangler". He has possessed the body of a doll, but wants to transfer his soul to a human once more. A good movie franchise, have a Chucky movie night and see them all.

As for the figure itself, i would have much preferred for him to be one of those smaller sized Funko pop figures, that would have been cool. Still a nice figure for any Horror movie aficionado.

Ghost face

 

Ghost face is actually a Samhain costume that several serial killers have worn since the 1996 Scream movie. The costume is based on The Scream a famous painting by  Edvard Munch. Though a human wears the costume, the Ghostface persona seems to posses inhuman endurance, strength and stealth, as well as the ability to teleport!
The figure looks cool, and who wouldn't like a Ghostface in their collection. 

Sam

I hadnt seen this movie until now. It is kind of cool. Sam is a short Trick or Treater who goes out on Samhain and reminds people of the spirit of Halloween.
As with Chucky im wishing this guy was much smaller, but he may in fact be short, will have to wait and see. He kind of reminds me of Sackboy which isn't very scary.

The Silence of the Lambs; Hannibal Lecter

  
The Silence of the Lambs was a movie made in 1991 it is classed as a  thriller but has a lot in common with crime drama. It is based on a novel.
Hannibal Lecter is the star of the franchise, he is a wholly human monster being a psychiatrist, cannibal and serial killer.

Hannibal Lecter is going to be the 25th Figure in the Movies line of funko pop.

Release Date:

He is due to escape detention on the 16th of May 2013.

03 Michael Myers

Halloween's Michael Myers

 

Halloween (the movie) was one of the first slasher films and created a lot of the standard horror movie rules. The franchise went on to create ten movies, comics, novels, games and changed horror movies forever.

 Michael Myers is the star and killer in the Halloween movies. He is a supernatural slasher and even if killed he just keeps coming back, death seemingly being a minor inconvenience for him. He is the 3rd figure in the Funko pop Movies line.

The back of the box states "they'll thrill you!" which is appropriate because back in the day a Thriller movie was not just what you called a boring horror. 

Here is Michael Myers in all his stabby glory. He is easily recognisable by any fan of horror.

One thing that struck me was the dark brown around his eyes. At first i thought it was mistake as this was a different colour to his skin. However it is accurate to the movies as he wore dark eyeliner.

He wears his white mask and has both a cute nose and mouth.

Here we see Michaels overalls, considering his penchant for eyeliner, he doesn't seem to put much effort into his wardrobe.

Michael Myers would be caught dead without his signature weapon, the humble yet successful kitchen knife. It is shinny and silver with blood from his last victim, or it could be jam, he has to eat too you know.

Here he is a member of the big three horror giants. With Freddy Krueger on the left and Jason Vorhees on the right, a horrifying threesome to be sure.

Here we see Michael, Jason and Freddy being mean to Leatherface. Bullying and bigotry are wrong and these pops are going to be in serious trouble unless they change there evil ways.

What is Halloween: 

Halloween or Samhain is a seasonal religious holy day celebrated on the 30th of April–1st of May in the Southern Hemisphere, and as it is a seasonal festival it is celebrated on the 31st of October –1st of November in the northern hemisphere.
At Samhain the veil between this world and the spiritual world is very thin, as such it is a time to communicate, honor and pay respect to those who have died.
