King Louie Disney

56 King Louie

King Louie is king of the monkeys in the Disney adaptation of The Jungle Book.

King Louie is number 58 in wave 5 (series 5) of the Disney Funko pop vinyl figures.

He looks very orangutan.

His hair and fur are very nicely molded.

He has a huge smile which looks awesome.

King Louie is a very fun pop figure.

He does like to tip back but his knuckle walking aids in his stability.

My primates, from left to right, Winged Monkey, King Louie, Bumble, and Chi Chai Monchan.

Information & Questions:

For more information on the orangutan and to help this species survive, click this link.
Also what did you think of the different backing colour i used for a lot of the photos in this post?
Do you prefer the red or like the green?
Should i mix it up with more colours?

09 Winged Monkey

Winged Flying Monkey

Winged monkeys also known as flying monkeys are characters from the popular iconic gay franchise The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Originally a collection of books, the story was made into a movie in 1939.

Winged Monkey is the 9th figure in the Funko vinyl pop Movies line. He is from wave one, to see more click here.

In the real world Winged Monkeys are called Hsigo and come from Chinese legend and mythology where they act like a familiar to those skilled in magic.

Winged Monkey has two slits for a nose, no mouth and the usual pop black eyes.

A little hat adorns his head which also has a mo-hawk and curls.

Winged Monkey has cool monkey feet and a little monkey servant costume, reminiscent of those old street organ grinder monkeys.

The Winged Monkey has a cool monkey tail and nice feathered wings.

Here Winged Monkey stands with his primate friends, Chi Chai Monchan the monkey and Bumble the Yeti.

Here Winged Monkey plays the part of Monkey from Monkey magic, which was based on the adventures of Sun Wukong, also known as the Monkey King, from the ancient Chinese, journey to the west.

05 Bumble

"Roar!"

Bumble

Bumble is an Abominable snowman also called a Yeti.
The character Bumble appeared in the claymation Yule film Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer back in 1964.
In the film Rudolph and his friends knockout the poor Bumble and forcibly remove all his teeth without anesthetic. This somehow tames the Bumble.

In the real world the Yeti or Abominable Snowman is an ape-like cryptid, native to the Himalayas. First discovered by westerners in the 19th century the Yeti has long been know to the inhabitants of Nepal and Tibet. While no body has been found by western scientists, there are numerous footprints, hair samples (that identify as "unknown primate") and enough other evidence that the creature exists. There are actually a few types of Yeti reported, one a large primate like Bumble and one that was proven in 2013 to be a long thought extinct ancient species of polar bear.

Bumble is the 5th figure in the Holiday line from the movie Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, of Funko vinyl pop figures.

Bumble has white fur and blue skin.

He has clawed hands and feet with four digits on each.

While he has the usual Funko pop black eyes, Bumble does have circles under them. He also has a very non pop nose and the teeth look fantastic. It doesn't show up will in the photos but the inside of his mouth almost looks transparent.

He has an adorable spiky scruffle of hair on his head that adds to his cuteness.

Bumble looks a little tubby, but that is just because he needs a layer of fat to help keep him warm in the snowy mountains.

Here he is hiding from Rick and Jack

07 Chi Chai Monchan

"Bananas, bananas, bananas."

Chi Chai Monchan

Chi Chai Monchan is a character in the Sanrio Hello Kitty franchise. I couldn't really find much about Chi Chai Monchan he seems to be a mysterious character. He is a pink fun loving monkey who lives on a small island where he climbs trees and balances bananas on his head, for some reason.
Sanrio is a Japanese company that produces kawaii or cute merchandise and are best known for there Hello Kitty characters.

If you know more about this secretive monkey please feel free to comment.

Chi Chai Monchan is the 7th figure in the Sanrio line of Funko Pop! vinyl figures.

Apparently Chi Chai Monchan finds it fun to balance bananas on his head.

The fact that the bananas are permanently attached may account for his huge happy face smile.

He has a huge head. While Funko Pops usually have large heads, this little pink monkey has the biggest head that i have seen on a Pop.  Frankly his head is ginormous. His humongous head only adds to his overall cuteness.

Chi Chai Monchan also has an adorable curly whirly prehensile tail. He is among the strangest Pop! that i have, but he is rather cool.

As you can see, even compared to Jack Sparrow, this little monkeys head is quite large and flat, possibly as a  byproduct of balancing too many bananas on it...
