ReAction: Alien, Kane

Kane

Kane is part of the first line of the new Reaction figures from Funko and Super 7, they are 3 3/4 inch "Kenner" style figures with five points of articulation (the Alien has six). 

 The Nostromo space suit is very detailed and movie accurate.

 The figure stands well and looks impressive. 

 "It looks like some kind of secreted resin." Yes i know but, well.

 That entrance kind of reminds me of something...

 Considering the scale of the figure he does look rather accurate.

"Hang on, i'm just going to put my face up to one of these creepy pulsating egg like canisters!"

 I really like the space suit.

 I would like to get a cheap plastic "playset" or simply a back drop for them to stand in front of.

 The crew reunion.

 The suit is so detailed he really looks at home exploring another planet.

The helmet is clear and can be removed.



 The head sculpt is alright.

I think they did an awesome job modeling this figure.

 The figure stands about 4" tall and only comes with his helmet.

He can hold the other figures accessory's.

Preview: Starcraft

Starcraft

My first introduction to Starcraft was at a Lan. We often played Warcraft (yes the original) and this was introduced to us. I had some problems with my computer overheating and set up in the breeze away from the others. I had to get up and ask, and observe to see how to play the game. I was wiped out completely within the first 5 minutes. I never played again.

Anyway, Funko pop are going to release some figures for their Games line.

Jim Raynor

So who or what is a Jim Raynor? He has some cool armor. apparently according to the Internets, he is some kind of big deal, fighting against the Confederacy and the Dominion. He has got some cool armor.

 Kerrigan

Who is Kerrigan you may well ask? Sarah Louise Kerrigan was born a Terran (Human) and captured by the Zerg (alien/ Zenomorph race) and turned into some kind of Terran-Zerg hybrid. She goes on to control the Zerg. Thats all well and good but she looks awesome and incredible!

30 Alien

Alien is an award winning 1979 science fiction horror film.
Alien spawned novels, comic books, video games, and toys, as well as the movies Aliens, Alien 3, Alien Resurrection, Alien vs. Predator  and Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem.

Work began on an Alien prequel in 2009, which devolved into the disappointing 2012 Prometheus.

 Alien is the 30th figure in the movies line of Funko pops. The artist H. R. Giger designed the Xenomorphs. 

 

The figure is an adorable cute version of the space horror.

The bulbous head is a nice shinny black, the mouth has the secondary jaws extended ready to give kisses.

The figure is incredibly detailed as i hope these photos will demonstrate, though i will note that i thought for some time that the figure has no articulation,however the head does turn, mine was very stiff, do not turn completely around though.

Here you can see the Xenomorphs back pipes, the detail really is astounding on this figure.

The Aliens torso hand and feet are excellent, its arms are spread ready to give Xenomorphy hugs.

While i do agree it could have been longer, the tail is very well detailed and ready to penetrate the heart with its cuteness.

Here Alien stands with some other horror figures from the movie range. From left to right we have Freddy Kruege,   Alien, Leatherface, Michael Myers and  Jason Voorhees.

Preview: Adventure time

What time is it?

Adventure time is a cartoon that follows the adventures of Finn and his brother Jake. The duo explore the post apocalyptic land of Ooo. Funko are releasing these figures as part of there Television line.

  Lumpy Space Princess is the princess of an alternate dimension called Lumpy Space. She is a Lumper and can convert other beings into Lumpers by biting them.

 Marceline is the half demon vampire queen. She is the daughter of the Ice King.

 Finn is a young boy who was orphaned when he was young and adopted by Jake's family. 

 Jake is Finns adopted brother and best friend. He is a magical shape changing dog.

 The Ice King is a recurring antagonist, he constantly kidnaps princesses and forces them to marry him. He has magical cold powers and is thought of as crazy by all except the penguins of his realm.

Funko are releasing these figures to the general public on the 18th of April 2013.
