12 Game of Thrones Renly Baratheon

                                           Renly Baratheon

Renly Baratheon is a handsome and charismatic man, he has many friends is kind, fair and enjoys tournaments. His lover is Loras Tyrell  Known as the Knight of Flowers.

Renly comes in edition two (wave two, season two) of the Game of Thrones Funko vinyl pop figures. He is number 12 in that line.

His figure is a good likeness but cannot portray how handsome the actor really is.

Renlys crown is a grouping of golden stag horns, very appropriate for a Baratheon king.

Unfortunately he is sporting his facial hair in this figure.

Renlys armor is quite nice, and painted well.

Renly is a good gay character and as being gay is a normal part of the range of human sexuality we really do need more gay characters in our media. Here we see he is just asking for equality with shelden cooper and Leonidas. I hope they bring out Loras in pop form soon.

A minor disagreement between Daenerys, Renly and Robb.

09 Game of Thrones Arya Stark

Arya stark

Arya Stark is number 9 in the Edition 2 (second wave) of Funko Vinyl pop figures, for the Game of Thrones line.

Arya Stark is a popular young Stark.

She comes in the usual Funko pop vinyl Game of Thrones window box.

She has a reasonable likeness to her television counterpart.

Her clothing is cool, and she holds Needle, her sword.

Her eyes have very girly eyelashes.

Her sword is painted terribly on my figure.

Here she is with the other Starks, from left to right; Robb, Ned, Jon, and Arya herself.

Ned Stark SDCC 2013 exclusive figure

Poor Ned

This Ned Stark is a SDCC exclusive limited to only 1008 figures. Fair warning if you haven't seen Game of Thrones, this figure is a spoiler.

The box should have blood splatter on the window area and blood on the neck of the figure.

Also you should see the exclusive sticker on the window box.

The figures body looks the same as the original.

Though the colours on mine do look more vibrant and distinct.

Aside from a few colour differences and the half closed eyes you could mistake this figure for the normal one.

Here he is with non-exclusive Ned Stark.

As i mentioned above the eyes of this Ned are half closed, being in a dungeon can be exhausting.

A look under his head shows where the bloody blow struck.

The head just pulls off but can be held nicely in place by a clever magnetic system.

For anyone wondering, yes his body can be used as a fridge magnet. Though the magnet is not very strong.

CHOP!

As you can see this figure will make for some excellent displays.

Ned took the saying "two heads are better than one" a little too literally.

No Jaime you are not.

So what do you think of this version of Ned? I personally, while not a fan of duplicate character figures, do really like it.

06 White Walker

"In that darkness the White Walkers came for the first time"

White Walker

The White Walkers are a not-so mythological race from the Game of Thrones HBO television show. There motives were unclear, they came in the dark of the long winter, killing without remorse and reanimating the dead as zombies or wights. He is the 6th figure in the Game of Thrones Funko vinyl Pop! line.

The packaging is window boxed and shows the white Walker in all his chilly glory. for a look at the GID exclusive click here.

The White Walkers eyes are different from the usual Funko pop figure, being blue with a black pupil as opposed to just black. The figure is also notable for having both a nose and a mouth, most pops seem to have one or the other. His nose is also not the usual pop nose.
His chest is finely detailed and looks gauntly muscled. He carries a spear, but it unfortunately does not have an ice tip.

The White Walker approaches the human camp, he pauses raises his spear and whispers the eldrich words. The snow moves around him, slowly the corpses of the frozen dead emerge from there icy graves. A human notices the movement, but too late, the White walker commands his newly risen undead troop forward.
Laughter rings through the night, the humans point and stare. The White walker looks on confused as the humans jeer and do a little dance. His ancient blue eyes turn back upon his troops, he sees the reason for the humans mirth. His fearsome wight soldiers are shuffling forward, but seem to be doing some kind of choreographed dance routine as they do. The White walker shakes his head and walks slowly back into the snow, his icy zombie army doing a two-step shuffle behind him.

01 Tyrion Lannister

" A mind needs books like a sword needs a whetstone. "

01 Tyrion Lannister:

So my first Funko Vinyl Pop! figure is from the Game of Thrones line.
Game of thrones is an excellent HBO TV series  based on the George R. R. Martin book series A song of ice and fire. The series is set in a very medieval world where magic is little believed in and monsters thought to be myth or long extinct. It follows the major noble houses as they squabble for political power and survival.
The first Game of thrones figure i could get my hands on is: Edition One 01Tyrion Lannister. Tyrion is the son of Lord Tywin Lannister, Tywin is the head of House Lannister, the richest house in the Seven Kingdoms and Lord of the Westlands.
Tyrion uses his intelligence to make up for any shortcomings he may have due to being a dwarf.

Game of Thrones 01 Tyrion Lannister:

The box is nice, with pictures of the figure and other figures from the line on the backside.

This figure has some nice details, like the gold rings on his hand and the printing on his shirt. Looking at the figure you should be able to tell who it represents.

Being a dwarf, Tyrion is a little smaller than other figures. He stands at about three and a half inches tall.
